Vera - Roxy Roco is a start-up fashion brand in the Philippines. It is a partnership between Vera (Bag designer) and Roxy Roco (fashion designer). Through collaboration, they produce items that are unique. Vera-Roxy Roco approached Rain to help them with their identity and branding requirements. As a startup brand, Veray-Roxy Roco allowed us creative freedom to work with their upcoming brand. The branding and identity we created extended to their logo and various applications.
The design should represent the identity of the product they sell, specifically in the following ways:
Designing a brand and identity from scratch is tough for a company whose target maret is dominated by big label brands. To be able to position Vera-Roxy Roco in this kind of market, we did a brief market analysis and created a brand map on how major brands were positioned in the market. This enabled us to see the overview of the market perspective so we could draft ideas out of that. We came out with various designs that fit the category. Eventually client chose the logo that was simple in form and design
With Roxy Roco, the approach was simple. They preferred a more typographic logo. We customized it just to make it fit the brand identity. The final logo that we had was simple but strong. We then shot Vera's product sfor her catalogs and print materials. We found out that the design in itself can stand on its own. In order to highlight these features, we created a simple layout that just supports the product and enhance its presence and presentation. We made sure not to overwork the layout so that the elegance of the produc will be emphasizedt. These format was use throughout the materials we had with this brand.
Luminos studio did the fashion shoot for Roxy. The output was excellent. In order to deliver the output for Roxy's material, we maximized the use of her photo by working on a clean layout and presentation.
We may not be so experienced in working with fashion brands, but this project opened our eyes into a new horizon and principles. It taught us various way on how to present fashion items to the print and web audience.
