Azlan is a green product-provider based in the United States. Their products range from energy-saving utilities to LED light bulbs and switches. Evolution commissioned us to design the required collateral and website that will be used by the company. Rain was asked to design the 3-fold brochure, calling card and web page template .

Key Point challenges:

  • Using visual imagery to communicate which requires finding the right blend of photo, illustration and layout
  • Fitting all information in the tri-fold brochure without sacrificing readability of the material.

Client Brief:

Evolution instructed us to use custom imagery to deliver the message.  They emphasized the use of visual representation with the following specifications:

  • Highligh the various advantages and concepts of green technology in relation to the company's services and products.
  • Apply the design to different media, specifically print and web.
 

The Azlan project pushed us to produce optimum output in a limited amount of time. The design went through a series of iteration to find the perfect match. But as soon as we got the right balance, the project was able to move forward quite quickly.

To address the visual imagery, we resorted to using custom graphics integrating illustration, strong colors and layout.  Furthermore, to address the layout issue, we made it to a point to spread the information across the medium, enabling us to cluster, organize information to make materials easy to read.  By having a solid foundation in layout, we pulled in some graphics to fit the with the whole theme and also made sure that the design doesn't overpower the content.  In fact, the design was made to support content. 

We then rolled out the design to various applications such as business cards and website. Even though we had to use the design in various media, we made sure that the design was anchored in strong design foundation.

Azlan was an example of the project that required creative flexibility to address various media.   The solid collaboration between Evolution and Rain made the project successful.
